Diane Litman is an experienced educator currently serving as a Diverse Learning Coordinating Teacher at a French Immersion Elementary school located on Treaty 7 land in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB). As a Métis-Kichwa-Latinx-Black woman, Diane has spent the last several years taking the time to deepen her understanding of those intricate roots and honour her diverse mixed heritage. Committed to creating inclusive learning environments, Diane is passionate about celebrating diversity, engaging in Indigenous education, and promoting strength-based learning. Her mission is to empower students from all walks of life, helping them develop essential skills and confidence to find and use their voices, while integrating her culture and traditional teachings into her educational approach.
